Until last year in the spring I used my former outdoor sleeping bag by Salewa. After using it at many carp fishing tours in the last years, the pleasant warming effect left at the first '98 sessions. In order to survive some damp and cool night in the future halfway without freezings I had to buy a new one.
After looking in manufacturer catalogs I decided to buy a sleeping bag from the JRC program. After a recommendation of Dieter my tackle dealer and friend I decided for the JRC Insider 5 Season. When first test sleeping on 2 March 98 I was very surprised about the freedom of movement in the sleeping bag. This is naturally for us carp angler a very large advantage because we often sleep with complete clothes in the sleeping bag. The width of the Insider 5 Season is at the shoulders 83 cm and the length is limited with approx. 190 cm. It has at both pages so-called Crash zippers. Additionally the zippers are provided against penetrating cold weather with a broad cover. The inside and outside feeding consist of synthetic hollow fibers, which keep still properly warm constantly also despite condensation humidity is in the tent. The outer hull of the sleeping bag consists of a very tear-fixed nylon that withstood even the encroachment of the claws and teeth of my dog. The lowest temperature level is indicated by the manufacturer at -5°C, whereby I slept last year in November with -8°C without any problems. On the next morning there was hoarfrost and the outer hull of the sleeping bag was frozen but I had not felt cold in it. The recommended sales price that the company Ehmanns with approx. 420, - DM indicates is quite appropriate.
